The Ecuadorian Library "Aurelio Espinosa Polit" belongs to the Society of Jesus and it constitutes the nation´s biggest bibliographical fund.

The archive section contains an invaluable collection of manuscripts, letters, testaments, no published works of Ecuadorian authors and documents of three important periods of our nation: colony, independence and republic.

Without no doubt, the archive stresses the library´s peculiarity of being the depositary of Ecuadorian authors. This was the founder´s visionary intention.
