A big collection of magazines, newspapers and pamphlets of different centuries constitute the periodicals section. More than 5.500 titles of the XIX, XX and XXI century rest in the shelves. Rare copies of magazines such as the "Magazine of the School of Literature" edited by J. Trajano Mera and "Iris", one of earliest literary and scientific magazines constitute part of
the collection.
